THE APIL ULTRASOUND MANUAL
This document introduces and describes the configuration of equipment used in the APIL Ultrasound Paradigm, which is a protocol for obtaining ultrasound recordings of human speech. The ultrasound paradigm blends ultrasonic imaging of the vocal tract with audio recordings of speech. The result is video documentation of spoken articulatory gestures, recorded first on tape and then converted to readable computer files.
